CEOs across the medical technology industry have limited opportunity to engage in high level roundtable discussions. The forums provide an opportunity for MTAA Member senior executives to come together and discuss key issues of relevance to the medical technology industry.
Three forums will be held each year in Sydney and hosted by Anne Trimmer, MTAA CEO. A two course lunch is provided. Only Chief Executive Officers, Vice Presidents, National Directors and Managing Directors are eligible to attend.
The following CEO Forums have been held in 2008.
1. Codes of Practice and the Experience of the Pharmaceutical Industry. Presented by Mr Ian Chambers of Medicines Australia during February.
2. Personal Observations of the 2020 Summit and Health Issues. Presented by Anne Trimmer, of the MTAA during May.
The MTAA is hosting the MedTech Seminar Series to provide opportunities for industry employees to come together and discuss key medical technology industry issues. Keynote speakers will be invited to present on a theme, and in some instances will be supported by a panel discussion.
The following MedTech Seminars have been held in 2008.
1. The ACCC and the Trade Practices Act. Presented by Conway Restom and Mark McCowan, of Corrs Chambers Westgarth during May.
2. NSW Health Procurement Update. Presented by Gerald Kohn & Robert Lagaida from NSW Health Procurement & Support Services.
