The Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA) invites nominations for the 2022 Outstanding Achievement Award. This award recognises an individual who has contributed in an exceptional way to the development of the medical technology industry in Australia. This may be evident through their contribution to the industry development, improvement in patient outcomes or excellence in leadership or innovation. Nominations are accepted regardless of membership of the Association.
To nominate, please complete the online form by 5pm, Friday 19 August 2022. There is no limit to how many people you wish to nominate however please do so on a separate nomination form. The judging panel will choose three finalists from the nominations received and they will be invited to attend the MTAA Annual Conference, where the winner will be announced.

- Thursday, 6 October 2022 Winners announced at the MTAA Australian MedTech Industry Awards Dinner.
How to Nominate
1. Complete the online nomination form. Afterwards, MTAA will send an email confirming your Nomination has been approved.
2. Prepare any evidence, photos and videos to support your nomination.
3. Reply to the MTAA email with a SharePoint foler link to insert your supporting content.
- Nominations are open to any individual involved in the medical technology industry, primarily in Australia
- Entries must address the Criteria
- Entries must include the following:
- At least 2 high-resolution photos/video footage of nominee, with their team and at work
- 70-100 bio of the nominee
- High-resolution company logo with a transparent background
- Entries are encouraged to include photographs and other supporting documentation with their nomination (e.g. articles, case studies, etc.)
The nomination must satisfy the following criteria:
- Evidence of significant contribution to the industry
- Evidence of contribution to the improvement of patient outcomes
- Evidence of excellence in leadership and innovation
The judging panel is independent of MTAA. It consists of a maximum of five individuals from around Australia, each of whom is selected for their expertise in medical technology, academia and research or represents a health professional or consumer perspective.
Include scientific evidence to support the claims. Please provide at least 3 pieces of supporting evidence.
These may be used in the promotional activities and video footage, including possible projection on the large screens during the Awards night. For videos, high definition MP4, MOV or AVI format. For photos, a minimum of three (3) high resolution photos are required. Acceptable photo formats: JPG, EPS, PSD and/or PDF.
