Reimbursement Committee

Purpose: 

To promote the MedTech industry’s access to funding and reimbursement pathways that enable timely public and private market access.

Objectives: 

1. Provide effective advice and support to MTAA to achieve the best possible outcomes on Prescribed List Reform and processes, including:
   1. Responding to consultations, including through the creation of working groups
   2. Identifying issues and solutions to raise with the government
   3. Sharing intelligence
   4. Development of data to support MTAA positions
2. Monitor and, where necessary, comment on broader issues related to health policy and market access, potentially including:
   1. Health Technology Assessment and Medical Services Advisory Committee processes
   2. Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) Review or other changes to the MBS which may impact market access issues for the MedTech sector
   3. Private health insurance/private hospital funding issues, which may impact market access issues for the MedTech sector
   4. Public hospital funding issues that may impact on market access issues for the MedTech Sector
   5. Commonwealth or State Government funding programs not mentioned above
   6. Support the Digital Health Advisory Group on digital health reimbursement issues
