Applied Ethics: Code of Practice 14 - Hard Questions, Practical Answers
Description
A practical, interactive session for MTAA Members who apply the Code of Practice in their day-to-day work. Drawing on monitoring cycle guidance and Secretariat advice, participants will work through realistic scenarios and compare their reasoning with that of their peers.
Most Code questions don’t arise in the abstract. They arrive with a deadline and without an obvious answer.
This session takes up where the Code’s Explanatory Notes and FAQs leave off. It draws on the general guidance MTAA gives after each monitoring cycle and on interpretive advice from the Secretariat. Topics include claims and comparisons, gifts and hospitality, and the responsibilities that extend to third parties.
Participants will leave more confident working through a Code question when answer isn’t immediately obviously, and better able to recognise when a ques-tion is worth raising with MTAA.
