MTAA in partnership with Pulse Economics is proud to present this full day training course on building evidence that stands up to HTA scrutiny.

Drawing on MTAA’s analysis of focused HTA reviews and Pulse Economics’ 15-year analysis of MSAC submissions, participants will learn what committees expect, and how to plan, analyse, and present evidence accordingly.

Learning Outcomes

Strong submissions rest on strong evidence, but what that looks like in practice can be hard to judge from guidelines alone.

This training looks at the question from two directions: lessons from focused HTA reviews conducted between 2024 and 2026, and findings from 15 years of MSAC submissions, including the most common reasons for negative de-cisions.

Participants will leave with a clearer sense of what committees expect, and practical approaches to planning evidence generation, using propensity score matching, and turning analysis into decision-ready evidence.
