MTAA Welcomes Jasjit Baveja - Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager

This week, we welcomed Jasjit Baveja as Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs of MTAA from 12 July 2021. Jasjit has the primary responsibility with the Regulatory Affairs Committee of leading regulatory policy development and engagement with the TGA. She will report to Paul Dale, Director Policy, with the intention of better integrating regulatory, reimbursement and industry policy at MTAA.

Jasjit comes to MTAA with strong experience in regulatory roles across a range of technologies and working on regulatory policy issues with industry committees, including MTAA. She has worked in regulatory affairs at ResMed, in both the ventilation and healthcare informatics divisions.  She was responsible for preparing regulatory submissions for Europe, US, Canada and Asia Pacific. As part of the healthcare informatics portfolio, she also participated in digital health working groups with AdvaMed. Jasjit moved to Johnson & Johnson Medical where she was responsible for the Orthopaedics portfolio. She defined regulatory strategy and managed ANZ submissions.

She was also a member of the AusBiotech Regulatory Affairs Advisory Group, MTAA, and participated in the MTANZ regulatory reforms working group. She was also the NSW lead for the mental health diplomats employee resource group. Most recently, Jasjit has been a Senior Manager RA at Boston Scientific. She was responsible for the whole regulatory affairs function for the ANZ region. In this role, she was also a member of the MTAA Regulatory Affairs Committee and chair of the Regulatory Affairs Forum.  Jasjit was also the co-lead for the ANZ Women’s Network Employee Resource Group.

Jasjit Baveja has completed her BE (Electrical)/MBiomedEng and PhD from UNSW.
