Hear from Jennifer Casey who six years ago presented with Atrial Fibrillation (AF) which includes symptoms of shortness of breath, palpitations and chest pain.

AF is a major public health issue affecting around 460,000 Australians, with up to 30% remaining undiagnosed. It is also associated with a 5 to 7-fold increase in the risk of stroke.

Jennifer’s condition was extremely difficult to manage and after some 18 hospital admissions and 15 electrical cardioversions, she underwent successful catheter ablation in October 2017.

Since then she has had no recurrence of her condition and no episodes of shortness of breath, palpitations and chest pain. This has led to great improvements in quality of life and overall health and wellbeing.
