HealthShare NSW Engagement Update

MTAA representatives and members of the Industry Policy Committee (IPC) & Procurement Forum met with Healthshare NSW to discuss progress on agreed reforms, for procurement practices in NSW.  The meeting was productive with Healthshare NSW re-stating their commitment to work with industry to modernise the way they work together.

They reported that momentum had slowed with COVID19 vaccination roll-out in the state, staff turnover, and Treasury directives to generate significant savings.

Progress is being made with respect to legal work for the master service agreement and it is understood that MTAA will hear about further progress in June. They remain aligned with us to achieve more streamlined approaches and work towards a value-based procurement system.
