Prostheses List Abbreviated Pathway Pilot Opportunity

Members may be aware that MTAA is working with the Department of Health to implement a new Abbreviated Pathway for certain types of Prostheses List applications. The Department has advised that it will run a pilot for the proposed Abbreviated Pathway for the next round of PL applications starting in January. The pilot will run in parallel with the standard pathway – in other words, a sponsor’s application would be considered under both pathways simultaneously. However, only the decision arising from the standard pathway will stand.
